Now in patience the fight of faith I fight; My cross by Thy Spirit I bear.O Jesus, I in Thy footsteps follow on, and Thine eyes watch over me with care.
O my God, my Jesus,
My heart doth long for Thee
And that home so fair
Which Thou dost for me preparae;
I'll be satisfied Thy face to
see.
Thanks, dear Lord, for the hope which Thou dost give;
My soul thus is anchored in Thee.
The storms may rage, but my spirit rests secure, For by faih from earthly bonds I'm free.

Soon I know that my conflict will end;
My heart to Thy praise, Lord, doth sing.
My thankful voice in the victors chior shall blend,
And my grateful praise to Thee I'll bring.
Thou art worthy, Jesus,
For Thou canst break the seals.
Thou with blood hast bought
Us from sin and folk and land-
Made us kings and priests, with Thee to riegn.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. -The Dixons, Salem OR.

I'm in awe of your faith. My first thought when I saw that Jordan had passed was one of unbelief and wondering if your faith would be forever gone, but reading that it is still strong is an inspiration and example to me. Thank you for sharing this painful journey with so many, and may you continue to find peace.

I have only recently become aware of your blog through a mutual friend's Facebook page. May the love of Christ sustain you during this difficult time. Your faith is nothing short of Amazing. Yes. Our God is an AWESOME God!!

Precious Lord, take my hand
Lead me on,
Let me stand
I'm tired, I am weak I am worn
Through the storm, through the night
Lead me on to the light
Take my hand precious Lord, lead me home

When my way grows drear
precious Lord linger near
When my life is almost gone
Hear my cry, Hear my call
Hold my hand lest I fall
Take my hand precious Lord, lead me home

When the darkness appears and the night draws near
And the day is past and gone
At the river I stand
Guide my feet, Hold my hand
Take my hand precious Lord, lead me home

Praying for you Katelyn! We know that both of your families are grieving too, but I am sure that no one feels the loss as keenly as you do. I admire your faith and courage and your ability to walk this journey in such a public way. May God be your strength and ever present help.

Revival has happened! My heart has changed and a closer walk with Jesus has been sparked through your brave and honest words. I am truly sorry for your loss and I know no human words will ease your pain...only the love of Our Savior. One of my favorite songs to listen to during my prayer time is Tenth Avenue North's prayer "Times."

I hope this brings you a glimpse of peace.

I hear You say,
"My love is over. It's underneath.
It's inside. It's in between.
The times you doubt Me, when you can't feel.
The times that you question, 'Is this for real? '
The times you're broken.
The times that you mend.
The times that you hate Me, and the times that you bend.
Well, My love is over, it's underneath.
It's inside, it's in between.
These times you're healing, and when your heart breaks.
The times that you feel like you're falling from grace.
The times you're hurting.
The times that you heal.
The times you go hungry, and are tempted to steal.
The times of confusion, in chaos and pain.
I'm there in your sorrow, under the weight of your shame.
I'm there through your heartache.
I'm there in the storm.
My love I will keep you, by My pow'r alone.
I don't care where you fall, where you have been.
I'll never forsake you, My love never ends.
It never ends."

My love and prayers for you and your beautiful girls.

Katelyn, all the Schroeders and Thames families, thank you for the message yesterday at Jordan's revival service of "if we exhalt the name of Jesus, then all men might be drawn to Him." We were all drawn closer to the Cross yesterday in Jordan's service. Thanks for your hearts, your faith, your focus, your passion, your example. To God be the glory, both now and forever, amen.

I am so sorry for your loss. My best friend lost her husband this year too. She has little ones (3) and they are the only thing that keep her going. Lean into your family and friends and trust that God sent them here to you. It is not an easy road but you will never be alone. Jordan's heart and smile will always remain in your girls. Praying for you all. Tara in NJ

I am so sorry for your loss. I pray God brings healing and comfort during this terribly difficult time. Having walked a horribly difficult road myself after my son died, I can promise you that God is faithful. He has been faithful to us after Ian's passing and He will be faithful to you.

Isaiah 61:3 KJV "To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified."

Jesus Takes Away Fatality

The great mystery of the incarnation is that God became human in Jesus so that all human flesh could be clothed with divine life. Our lives are fragile and destined to death. But since God, through Jesus, shared in our fragile and mortal lives, death no longer has the final word. Life has become victorious. Paul writes: "And after this perishable nature has put on imperishability and this mortal nature has put on immortality, then will the words of scripture come true: "Death is swallowed up in victory. Death, where is your victory? Death, where is your sting?" (1 Corinthians 15:54). Jesus has taken away the fatality of our existence and given our lives eternal value.
